Child

Child is feeling. Child is emotion. Child bridges the gap between, the obviously accepted, implemented technique and ones personal involvement in music.

Child is my study to the relation between sound perception and design, realized at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering in Delft in cooperation with SOUND PROJECTS.

Design Department is mainly involved in interior- and furniture design, but music always has been a major point of interest. My perception of sound experience is that design is just as important as the reproduced sound quality: art as sound and sound as art, without concessions to quality. Child as a design is attractive and tender. Because design and volume are rather contradictory demands, the cooperation with Sound Projects proved to be not only helpful but also very inspiring. Child is a complete loudspeaker system, has a steady foundation and comprises generous built-in amplifier power. Like all SOUND PROJECTS, this power is fully optimised for the used loudspeaker components.
