Avid tours on SP Linex
Amsterdam, location the historic Beurs van Berlage.
At the end of the IBC 2004 Avid presented a range of new products and up-dates during the 'Media in Motion' tour. Andy Davies, sound engineer with Concert Sound, was responsible for the audio of the project. It was a pleasant first time for Davies to work with the relative new Sound Projects line-array Linex.
The set up in Amsterdam was as follows: 6 x Linex modules per side and a centre cluster line-array of 6 Linex modules. Bass response was augmented by 16 Sound Projects SP4-15 sub-low systems, which were placed behind the video screens. In the rear of the auditorium two Sound Projects 3-60/3-15 sets were installed. And finally Sound Projects X-act monitors were placed on stage as frontfills.
Davies: "Working with the Sound Projects line-array Linex enabled me to deal with the very difficult acoustics of the beautiful location and we could put up with the high demands of the client, which had to meet the demands of the USA. The client left thrilled, smiling and happy!" Andy Davies himself also was very excited to work with this new system and is looking forward to the next opportunity.
