DreamLine
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a loudspeaker system that incorporates all the benefits of a line array with the reliable simplicity of a standard plug-and-play, self-powered loudspeaker? Packed in one aesthetic housing, with matching colours, completely in harmony with your environment.
Even that one perfect suspension point is already provided. The recommended flying height is noted on the box. Complex and expensive rigging systems then become redundant. A dream system that would excell in stunning simplicity.
Based on these frequently heard dreams and wishes, SOUND PROJECTS developed the Dreamline™, a prefab line array housing. Initially meant for the fixed installation market, but soon also available as a plug-and-play touring system.
Each DreamLine™ is individually configured by SOUND PROJECTS to match the location parameters such as chair plan, auditoriumshape and desired acoustic pressure. This is accomplished by 12 completely adjustable full-range line source modules, based on the patented SOUND PROJECTS Wave-shape-transformer™.
Normally 12 single loudspeakercabinets would be necessary to do the job. Moreover, each unique Dreamline™ is self-powered and equipped with multiple SOUND PROJECTS Micro-Amp™ modules with an integrated speakermanagement system fixed in an optimum pre-set. This combination ensures that the system can be taken down as well as rigged up easily by practically anyone, even with hardly any technical knowhow. Hence the Dreamline™ is virtually idiot proof.
An additional benefit of the line-array-in-one-box concept is the low weight of around 100 kg (depending on configuration), which makes the Dreamline™ compliant with most standard theatre rigging points.
The probability of errors while (re)installing the Dreamline™ is reduced to a minimum because the controller circuit and angle parameters of the line array units are matched and fixed. Because of this inner simplicity, the installation time is a fraction of a comparable 'conventional' line-array system consisting of separate cabinets.
