Dreamline reinforces La Bohème

Norway, December 2007

A Sound Projects Dreamline setup reinforces one after the other cultural production in the Korskirke in Bergen. At this moment Puccini’s opera La Bohème is performed in the church for a number of weeks.

The Korskirke (Holy Cross Church) in Bergen was founded in 1170 and completed in 1793. Nowadays the church is mostly used for cultural events. In December 2007 Sound Projects agent PA Produksjoner (PAP) installed a Dreamline array for a number of Christmas recitals. Odd Terje Kvilhaug, system designer at PAP: “We had to do a number of Christmas concerts in December. Although a Dreamline is very easy to rig up, it was convenient to keep the set rigged up for the whole period. Because of it’s small size, the line-array is not conspicuous and the church agreed with our proposal. We had so many positive reactions and we were so pleased with the sound, that we have decided to work with the same setup for the opera La Bohème this month.” Because the church is built as a cross, 2 X-acts were used as side fills.
